Send changes to a clinician

Return OASIS corrections for clinician review and approval.

OASIS answer changes do not take effect silently. They go to the clinician who did the visit, who accepts or rejects each one on their phone. This page covers sending changes, tracking them, and creating reviews by hand.

Send changes

  1. In the review workspace, change the OASIS answers that need correcting. Each change requires a Clinical manager note — write the reason the clinician will read, then click Save change.

  2. Mark the tabs reviewed as you finish them.

  3. Click Send Changes for Approval. The changes go to the clinician's phone.

While decisions are pending:

  • A banner at the top of the review tracks progress (for example, 2 of 5 decided).

  • The OASIS tab stays locked for editing until every change is accepted or rejected.

  • Complete Review stays available on a QA Review and a Plan of Care Review once every tab is marked reviewed. A Review and Lock OASIS task waits for all decisions, because the OASIS cannot lock earlier.

What the clinician sees

The changes arrive on the clinician's phone as review items. For each one they see the question, their original answer, your new answer, and your note. They accept or reject each item. Rejections come back to you with the clinician's reasoning.

Track reviews on the QA Reviews page

QA Reviews in the sidebar lists every review with patient, assignee, status, OASIS type, and files.

Create a review by hand

Reviews for recorded visits are created automatically. Create one manually when documentation arrives another way (for example, an assessment done outside the system):

  1. On QA Reviews, click Create QA Review.

  2. Enter a Title; optionally Priority, Due Date, Description.

  3. Pick the Patient (and optionally the Episode).

  4. Under Assign To (Optional), pick a reviewer, or leave it unassigned for Claim next.

  5. Choose the OASIS setup: components, Assessment Type, OASIS Version.

  6. Upload files. Referral Package and Visit Notes are required.

  7. Click Create QA Review.

If something goes wrong

  • A clinician rejected a change. Read their reasoning, then either let the original answer stand or correct it again with a clearer note. Talk to the clinician for anything clinical judgment should settle.

  • A review is stuck in Ready for Clinician Review. The clinician has not decided on every item. Follow up directly if it is deadline-sensitive.

  • A new review is stuck in Draft. Files are still being prepared. Give it a moment and refresh; it moves to Pending Review when ready.
