Stay on top of notifications

The bell, what arrives there, and how to tune what you get.

The bell in the sidebar collects what the system wants you to know — task assignments, credential expirations, and visit updates. A badge on the bell means something is unread.

Read and clear

  1. Click the bell. The flyout lists notifications newest first.

  2. Click a notification to open the thing it is about.

  3. Mark all as read clears the badge; Delete all empties the list. Individual notifications can be deleted from their row.

For the full list with search, open Notifications from the flyout — the page shows the same items in a searchable master-detail view.

Act on credential alerts

Credential expiration notices carry their own action: Turn off scheduling stops the affected clinician from being scheduled until the credential is renewed. The button shows only for administrators and HR staff, and only while the credential is already expired and affecting scheduling. Restore schedulability from the staff record afterward — see Add and manage staff.

Tune what you get

  1. Open Settings → Account → Notifications.

  2. Set the channel for task assignments: Desktop, Email, Both, or Off.

  3. Set conversation notifications per type: Group Chats and Other (system updates and announcements) can each be All, Mentions, or Off; Direct Messages can be All or Off.

Note: Turning a channel Off silences the notification, not the work — the task still appears in the Tasks list. See Work your tasks.

On the phone

Field clinicians get their own Notifications tab in the mobile app's bottom bar — visit offers, schedule changes, and submission results land there. Per-conversation levels (All Messages, Mentions Only, Muted) are set from each thread — see Send and receive messages.

If something goes wrong

  • The badge will not clear. Open the flyout and use Mark all as read to clear it in one step.

  • You missed an assignment because nothing appeared. Check the channel setting for task assignments; Off suppresses the desktop notice entirely.
