Add and verify medications

Reconcile the medication list and record changes during a visit.

The Medications section inside the visit — subtitled Review & reconcile — holds the patient's medication list. Scribe extracts medications from photos, labels, and conversation; you confirm each one before the section is complete.

Add medications

  1. Inside the visit, tap Medications.

  2. Tap Add a Medication to type one in, or use the camera flow to photograph pill-bottle labels — one bottle at a time, label flat and filling the frame.

  3. Extraction runs in the background. Keep working while it does.

Note: The label is what gets read. Blurry or angled photos are the usual reason extraction comes back empty — retake them in better light.

Review and reconcile

The hub badge reads X need review until every extracted medication is resolved.

  1. Open each flagged row.

  2. Confirm name, dose, route, and frequency against the bottle.

  3. If the drug database matched the wrong product, tap Search FDB and pick the correct one. Verify strength and form — a wrong match causes filing errors later.

  4. Tap Edit to fix details, or delete rows that do not belong, such as duplicates.

The badge changes to X recorded when everything is reviewed.

Resolve interaction alerts

When Scribe detects a potential drug interaction, an alert appears on the list.

  1. Open the alert.

  2. Record your clinical decision in the interaction note.

Medications is not complete — and the visit will not submit — until every interaction note is saved.

If something goes wrong

  • The list is empty after photos. Retake them with better lighting, or add the medications with Add a Medication.

  • The wrong drug matched. Edit or delete the row, then Search FDB for the correct product.

  • Submission keeps returning you to medications. Rows still read need review, or an interaction note is unsaved. Clear each one — see Finish and submit the visit.
